Pride is our favourite season of the year. Every year, we mark London Pride with a special event, a limited-edition product, or something a little bit extra to celebrate the occasion. It's our way of celebrating love, diversity, self-expression, and the incredible community that has supported us over the years.
We're lucky to have a wonderfully diverse customer base and a huge LGBT+ following, and we're proud to create products for people of all identities, bodies, and desires. While Pride gives us a special opportunity to shout about it, the truth is, celebrating love, inclusivity, and individuality is something we do every single day.
A Range of Special Edition Rainbow Dildos for Pride
Creating our Pride dildos is a labour of love, and the process begins several days before the first dildo is even poured.
The first step is creating the rainbow hearts that make this edition so special. Flat sheets of soft silicone are carefully made, with a separate sheet created for each colour in the rainbow. These sheets are then left to cure for around 24 hours until they're firm enough to work with.
Once the silicone has set, the heart-making begins. Every tiny heart is cut out by hand and sorted by colour, ready for the next stage of production. Nothing goes to waste, either - the leftover silicone circles are cut down and repurposed as colourful drink coasters.
With the hearts prepared, attention turns to the moulds. Each mould is cleaned, checked and prepared before fresh silicone is mixed. Much like baking, successful dildo-making is all about precision, patience and getting the measurements exactly right. At this stage, the workshop operates under a strict "do not disturb" policy. One distraction at the wrong moment could result in an entire batch being ruined!
For our Pride edition, we use translucent silicone, allowing the rainbow hearts to shine through the finished design. The silicone is carefully hand-poured into moulds suspended upside down from our specially designed dildo table.
Then comes one of the most painstaking parts of the process. Every single rainbow heart is dropped into the mould by hand. Sometimes they need a little encouragement to sit exactly where they should, which is where a long, thin wooden stick comes in handy. It's delicate, time-consuming work, but it's also what gives each dildo its unique character.
Once poured, the moulds are left undisturbed for two full days while the silicone cures. During this time, our dildo maker keeps a watchful eye on proceedings, hovering over the workshop like a particularly concerned Mother Hen.
We use premium body-safe silicone because it's non-porous, hypoallergenic and incredibly durable, making it one of the best materials available for sex toys. It's also wonderfully easy to care for. A quick wash with warm water and antibacterial hand soap, or a spritz of toy cleaner, is all that's needed to keep your toy in excellent condition.
After curing, the moment of truth arrives. The dildos are carefully released from their moulds and individually inspected for any imperfections. Because they're handmade, no two are ever completely identical - and that's part of their charm. However, we still hold every toy to the same high standards, ensuring each one is durable, beautiful and ready for years of pleasure.
Once a dildo has passed inspection, it's finally time for its grand debut. After days of mixing, pouring, curing and careful craftsmanship, we get our first proper look at the finished product - and we fall in love with it all over again...
All in all, only 12 of the special edition Pride dildos were made, and no surprise - they flew straight off the shelf!
