Why Choose a Dildo?

Dildos for women offer penetrative pleasure without vibration, batteries, or complicated controls. Whether you're exploring solo play, enhancing partnered sex, or seeking body-safe alternatives to penile penetration, dildos provide pure, simple satisfaction.

From slim beginner-friendly designs to realistic textures and double-ended options, our collection celebrates diverse desires and anatomies. Many users prefer dildos over vibrators for their versatility, silence, and ability to focus entirely on penetration and fullness.

Our Handmade Silicone Dildo Collection

As one of the UK's original dildo designers, we've been handcrafting body-safe silicone dildos since 1992. Every dildo is made from medical-grade silicone – non-porous, phthalate-free, and body-safe.

Our collection includes over 30 different sizes and shapes, from tiny slim dildos (0.75 inches) to larger advanced options. We refuse to stock jelly, rubber, or realistic porn-inspired dildos. Instead, we champion pleasure-positive designs that celebrate all bodies.

Types of Dildos in Our Collection

Silicone Dildos: Our specialty! Handmade, body-safe silicone dildos in sensual curves, smooth finishes, and ergonomic shapes. From marble swirls to solid colors, every dildo is unique.

Double Dildos: Double-ended designs perfect for couples play or creative solo sessions. Double dildos offer versatility and simultaneous pleasure.

Strap-On Dildos: Harness-compatible dildos with flared bases or O-ring compatibility. Our strap-on dildo kits and handcrafted harnesses pair beautifully with these designs for lesbian sex, pegging, or partnered play.

Slim Dildos: Beginner-friendly, gentle penetration. Women's dildos in slim profiles (under 1 inch diameter) are perfect for first-time users, those with vaginismus, or anyone preferring petite sizes.

Realistic Dildos: Featuring lifelike textures, veins, and contours without objectifying design. Body-positive, female-friendly realistic options.

Curved Dildos: Designed to target the G-spot or prostate with angled shafts and bulbous tips. Perfect for exploring internal erogenous zones.

How to Choose Your Perfect Dildo

For Beginners: Start with a slim dildo (0.75-1 inch diameter) in smooth silicone. Avoid overwhelming yourself with size or texture.

For G-Spot Pleasure: Choose curved dildos with pronounced tips. The angle matters more than size for G-spot stimulation.

For Strap-On Play: Look for flared bases or O-ring compatible designs. Consider your partner's comfort level when selecting size.

For Vaginismus or Painful Sex: We offer gentle, slim dildos specifically designed for painful sex and vaginismus recovery. Gradual sizing helps with pelvic floor therapy.

For Advanced Users: Explore larger sizes, textured surfaces, or double-ended designs. Our handmade collection offers unique shapes you won't find elsewhere.

Dildo FAQ's

Customers are often confused by difference between dildos and vibrators. Here's how we separate the two: It may also vibrate, but if the main purpose of a toy is penetrative pleasure - it's a dildo!

Choosing a dildo is obviously very personal choice. Because dildos are all about penetration, the first thing to think about is size, because a dildo that's too big, or too wide, will feel uncomfortable. Next question, with all the different types of dildos available, is how you want to play?
- To wear a dildo in a strap-on or for an anal dildo, you can choose any dildo in our silicone range - it's best to go slightly longer for strap-on wear and shorter for anal play.
- Double dildos are designed to share, so you both get penetrative pleasure simultaneously.
- Glass dildos and metal dildos deliver different sensations to a regular dildo experience - sleek, weighty and temperature-responsive.

What a dildo is made from effects how easy they are to clean and thus how safe they are, particularly if you share. - ALL our dildos are made from body-safe, non-porous materials that are very easy to clean and even sterilize :)

Yes, you can! If your dildo is from Sh! it will be non-porous (silicone, glass or steel), so you can simply clean it with sex toy cleaner and rinse/wipe it off before sharing. If you belive your dildo is rubber/ non-porous or you're not sure what your dildo is made from its safest to use condoms if you want to share your dildo. Have fun!

Sh! silicone dildos: (remove the bullet first, if vibrating dildo)
- 1. Clean: Spritz with sex toy cleaner or wash with antibacterial hand wash. Rinse with warm water.
- 2. Sterilize: Boil in pan for up to 5 minutes or wash top rack of dishwasher (without soap and dishes;)
- Glass, Steel dildos and non-Sh! dildos: Clean with step 1.

All sex feels better with lube! Slick some lube onto the vulva & vagina or anus about to be penetrated before drizzling some onto the dildo. You may need to apply some more during play - this is fine. We recommend using water-based lube with silicone dildos.

The best dildo question is a tricky one - it depends on who you ask! The question should be: Which is the best dildo FOR YOU? We are happy to help you find a size and shape that works for you :) But, for the record, this is our best-selling dildo of all-time!

It's crucial to get the girth right when strapping a dildo on for pegging. Length is less important as you don't have to insert the entire shaft. Take a look at slim dildos as they are most popular as pegging dildos.

Beginners should start with slim dildos no wider than 0.75-1 inch in diameter and 4-5 inches insertable length. Tapered tips make insertion easier. As you gain experience, you can gradually size up. Focus on comfort over ambition – a dildo that feels good is better than one that's intimidatingly large!

Dildos are non-vibrating penetrative toys designed for thrusting, fullness, and internal stimulation. Vibrators add oscillating motors for external or internal pleasure. Many people prefer dildos for their simplicity, silence, and ability to use during partnered sex without mechanical distraction. Others love combining both – using a dildo for penetration and a vibrator for clitoral stimulation!

Yes! Silicone is the gold standard for dildos. It's body-safe, non-porous, phthalate-free, easy to clean, and hypoallergenic. Glass and stainless steel are also excellent. Avoid jelly, rubber, PVC, or "realistic skin" materials – these contain harmful chemicals, harbor bacteria, and degrade over time. All our dildos are medical-grade silicone or body-safe alternatives.

Yes! Most dildos with flared bases are harness-compatible. Check that the base is wider than the shaft to prevent slippage. O-ring harnesses work with various dildo sizes, while specific harnesses have fixed rings. Our strap-on dildo kits include perfectly matched harness-and-dildo combinations for hassle-free pegging or lesbian strap-on play.

Curved dildos with pronounced, bulbous tips work best for G-spot pleasure. Look for an upward curve and firm (not too flexible) material to apply targeted pressure. The G-spot is located 2-3 inches inside the vaginal wall toward your belly button. Experiment with angles and depth to find what feels best for your anatomy.

Yes! Dildos can be therapeutic tools for vaginismus and painful sex when used gently as part of pelvic floor therapy. Start with the smallest slim dildo (0.5-0.75 inches), use generous lubricant, and progress gradually at your own pace. We offer specialized dildo sets designed for painful sex recovery. Always consult your doctor or pelvic floor therapist for personalized guidance.

At Sh!, we stock body-positive realistic dildos that celebrate diverse bodies without porn-inspired objectification. We refuse "realistic" designs modeled after specific performers or hyper-masculinized features. Instead, we offer lifelike textures and shapes that feel natural without sleazy marketing. Pleasure can be both realistic and respectful!

WHAT IS A DILDO?

Confused by the difference between dildos and vibrators? People often ask for one when they really want the other...

Here's how we separate the two: It may also vibrate, but if a toys main purpose is penetrative pleasure - it's a dildo!

Slipping a perfectly sized dildo in and out stimulates the sensitive nerve endings around vaginal and anal openings.

And, don't forget the G-spot and prostate gland, where immense, different orgasms await!

Wondering, what size dildo to choose?

  • Width is key—a dildo that's too big won't be enjoyable.
  • Length is less crucial, as you can always limit how far inside it goes..
  • But if plan to wear your dildo in a harness, go for a bit longer - you'll lose a couple inches when it's in the strap-on.
