The sexy black, white & red cover promises big things: “If you liked Fifty Shades of Grey, you’ll love this”. And dear Lord, by page four I was deeply entranced in a sex scene, googly-eyed and feeling strangely flushed… *fans self*
Portia Da Costa throws the reader straight into the story and keeps us hooked with the will he/won’t he reveal himself; will she/won’t she do him (of course she does, how could she not!).
The curvaceous Gwendolynne Price, aka horny Queen Librarian in a 50’s pencil skirt, receives increasingly erotic love notes addressed to her in the suggestion box at work, all signed by the somewhat stalkerish “Nemesis”. Her mystery admirer has clearly paid good attention to her luscious curves, and delights in pointing out how much he enjoys masturbating whilst fantasising about her silky under-garments. He wants to do filthy, filthy things to the young librarian - though she isn’t all that hard to seduce, to be fair.
The writing is hot, scorchingly so. If ‘50Shades’ is a love story with a number of kinky sex scenes thrown in, In Too Deep is a kinky sex story with a handful of love scenes throw in. Page after page with wetness, achy nipples and hard, manly flesh to keep the reader titillated, and with (quite possibly) one hand in her damp knickers!
In Too Deep comes highly recommended by Team Sh!
